Agreement on collective labor agreement for transport and logistics ends campaigns | Economy

Trade unions FNV and CNV have agreed a new collective labor agreement for the transport and logistics sector. This puts an end to the actions of truck drivers to enforce a better collective labor agreement. The new employment contract applies to more than 150,000 people in transport and logistics.

The new two-year collective labor agreement, fully known as the collective labor agreement for professional goods transport by road and the rental of mobile cranes, runs from 1 January 2021 to 31 December 2022. In the proposal, wages will increase by 3.5 percent on 1 July and as of 1 January 2022 by 3.25 percent.

It has also been agreed in the collective labor agreement that all trucks will have a heater and air conditioning, which also work when the engine is switched off. ‚ÄúThat is very important. Drivers spend a lot of time in their truck. Now that is finally possible at the right temperature. This greatly improves working conditions,” says FNV director Willem Dijkhuizen.
