The Alpha Motor Corporation is a California startup that now has two electric vehicles in development. There’s the Alpha Icon – a compact company car – and there’s the Ace. The latter is 4.18 meters long, which makes it 1 centimeter below the Audi TT and exactly the same length as the Alpine A110.
Alpha Ace as a small Peugeot 504 Coupé
As you can see from the pictures, the Ace has somewhat caricatural proportions, with hefty balloon tires and a bowler hat-like roofline. Seen through the eyelashes, it resembles seventies coupés like the Peugeot 504 Coupé and Lancia 2000 HF Coupé. The Ace’s interior is extremely minimalist, with a steering wheel, screen, and that’s it.
Electric range of 400 kilometers
The two-seater has a 75 kWh battery, with which it should be able to achieve an electrical range of about 400 kilometers. The car – which sprints to 100 km / h in 6 seconds – will enter the American market in 2023 and must then cost 32,000 to 39,000 dollars (between 26,000 and 32,000 euros).
Alpha Ace Performance Edition
Alpha has now made the Ace even better with two special editions. The least noticeable is the Alpha Ace Performance Edition, which you can recognize by its rear spoiler, thick retro wheels, wider wheel arches and more prominent front spoiler. The Ace Performance Edition has four-wheel drive – the regular Ace only rear-wheel drive – and goes to 100 km / h in 4.6 seconds.
Alpha Ace Jax a kind of Porsche 911 Safari
The ultimate Alpha Ace, as far as we are concerned, is the Jax. The cart reminds us of a Porsche 911 Safari, with its increased ground clearance, roof rack, front and rear bumpers, and auxiliary lights. It is striking that the Alpha Ace Jax is a four-seater, with two small ones suicide doors that provide access to the rear seat. It will cost between $ 38,000 and $ 48,000 ($ 30,000 – $ 40,000) in the United States.
