Amber Heard says she is harassed daily by fans of her ex-husband Johnny Depp. The actress claims that the “online threats” started when she came forward with her story about domestic violence, Heard said in the libel suit Depp brought against her over her allegations.
Depp went to court over Heard’s 2018 Washington Post article, in which she claims to be a survivor of domestic violence. She didn’t mention his name, but it was clear she was referring to her ex-husband. The actor says that he has missed film roles as a result and is demanding compensation. He denies having assaulted Heard and states that she was abusive during their marriage, which lasted from 2015 to 2017.
Heard also said he had lost jobs in the Fairfax court in the US state of Virginia because of Depp’s case. “It was difficult to work. I was harassed. I am harassed daily and receive death threats,” said the actress.
Depp’s lawsuit started on April 11 and is expected to last several weeks.
