Arrest of the main suspect for organized cocaine trafficking

The arrested man is suspected of being involved in the organization of several large cocaine transports that took place in 2020. Several tons of cocaine were transported from South America to Europe and ultimately the Netherlands. Much of the information about these shipments comes from posts on the Sky ECC platform. That server was taken offline in March 2021 and seized by the Dutch authorities. Investigative services thus gained access to millions of encrypted messages from criminal organizations.

arrest team

The suspect was arrested in Amsterdam at the beginning of April. An arrest team then arrested the man on the street in Buitenveldert. The suspect was subsequently incarcerated. For this reason, no further information could be given about his role in this investigation. The suspect is currently in custody.

list of deaths

Following the arrest, searches took place in a house in Amstelveen and a house in a luxury residential tower in Amsterdam South, both of which could be linked to the suspect. During these searches, many very exclusive luxury goods and jewelry were found and seized. The purchase value of the seized goods is estimated at more than half a million euros. Two armored vehicles in which the suspect moved when he was in the Netherlands were also seized. In his own words, the suspect moved in these types of vehicles, because he had been informed by the police that he would be on a death list.
