Dutch banks are launching a campaign to motivate entrepreneurs to make their businesses more sustainable. They can do this together with their bank that they can become greener, is the message of the campaign that will start on Wednesday.
By means of online videos, radio commercials and social media, the banks will point out all the possibilities to entrepreneurs. According to the Dutch Banking Association (NVB), it is not just about advertising, but the banks believe that in this way they can make an important contribution to achieving the goals of the Climate Agreement. To this end, it would be important for bank customers to become more sustainable.
In a statement, the NVB refers to figures by the audit firm KPMG that small and medium-sized companies will have to invest a total of between 8.5 billion and 20 billion euros until 2050 to comply with the agreements in the Climate Agreement. It is also important that office buildings have the correct energy label from next year, something which, according to an estimate from a few months ago, would not be the case with many offices.
