Wesley Koolhof has booked his second tournament win in a row in the run-up to the Australian Open. The 32-year-old Dutchman and his British doubles partner Neal Skupski won the ATP tournament in Adelaide. In the final they were too strong for Ariel Behar from Uruguay and Gonzalo Escobar from Ecuador in two sets: 7-6 (5) and 6-4.
Koolhof and Skupski already won the doubles title in Melbourne a week earlier. De Gelderlander took his ninth title on the ATP Tour in Adelaide. Koolhof and 32-year-old Skupski only recently formed a couple. Koolhof ended the collaboration with Jean-Julien Rojer at the end of last year.
Koolhof and Skupski now return to Melbourne, where they will compete in the Australian Open. The first grand slam tournament of the year starts on Monday.
