34 (–) SHARKS – Imagine Dragons

The month of July is off to a great start with the release of Mercury – Act 2, part two of the Imagine Dragons ‘double album’. Part 1 appeared on September 3 of last year with the hits Follow Youwrecked and Enemy† The new and sixth studio album of Imagine Dragons contains 18 tracks of which we Bones already welcomed in the Top 40 before. sharks is now the seventeenth hit of the American band and this week it is also the highest entry at number 34.

31 (31) POTION- Calvin Harris, Dua Lipa & Young Thug

The first collaboration between Dua Lipa and Calvin Harris was natural One Kiss, which was #1 for 16 weeks. The latest adventure of the two does not really succeed, because potion stands at number 31 for the fourth consecutive week.

For Dua Lipa is potion her 20th Top 40 hit and with all those hits she has now managed to collect so many points that she gets a place among the ten most successful Top 40 acts of all time. This week, with 3 points more, she pushes P!nk outside this top 10.


Since 2001 we regularly encounter Di-Rect in the Top 40. Through The Looking Glass is now the 24th hit of the band from The Hague and this week the track climbs with four places to number 17.

Since 2009, Di-Rect has regularly been among the 100 most successful acts that have ever been in the Top 40. lost Frequencies pushed the band outside that top 100 earlier this year, but now they’re back there and in turn pushing Corry Konings outside the top 100.

1 (1) AS IT WAS- Harry Styles

For the fifth consecutive week we have the same three hits on the podium but with some changes. Bam Bam of Camila Cabello and Ed Sheeran drops from 2 to 3 where Ferrari of James Hype and Miggy Dela Rosa just climbs a spot from 3 to 2.

As It Was Harry Styles has been in the Top 40 for thirteen weeks now; two weeks at number 2 and eleven weeks at number 1. Never before was there a hit that was only in places 1 and 2 in the first thirteen weeks.
