Old Eurovision entries such as Franklin Brown, Marlayne Sahupala and Esther Hart will give a concert on Friday 21 May together with Eurovision expert Koos van Plateringen and Junior Eurovision presenter Buddy Vedder in which they will sing the greatest hits from the 64-year history of the song festival.
The Troubadour, Arcade, Waterloo and Euphoria come during We Love Song Contest all along. The concert can be followed at home via a live stream. Viewers can – in addition to sing along and dance along – also the We Love Song Contest Quiz play along.
“Performing for Eurovision fans cannot be compared with anything”, says Marlayne Sahupala, who met the Netherlands in 1999 with One Good Reason represented. “We really want Eurovision fans to experience the same wonderful, but also hysterical atmosphere at home this year.”
The concert also draws attention to Habitat for Humanity, a charity that builds houses for and with people in developing countries. “As an ambassador for Habitat for Humanity, I was able to see up close what building a house can mean for a family, a family or even an entire village,” said Buddy Vedder. “I am proud and happy that I can contribute in this way together with all these artists.”
