English media hard for Ziyech after Cup Final: ‘Too slow and not strong enough’ | Foreign football

The man who shot Chelsea to the FA Cup final with his winning goal against Manchester City (1-0), could not break pots in the final battle against Leicester City (0-1) on Saturday. Hakim Ziyech had to pay a lot in the English media.

Ziyech should ignore the newspapers today. The former Ajax player only scores unsatisfactory after his dull final performance at Wembley. “The Moroccan made some nice passes and tried to create something, but he had to be sharper. It was no surprise that he was switched, ” says The Guardian, who gave Ziyech a 5.

Also in The Telegraph Ajax’s former tastemaker does not get any further than a 5. ,, He, like most of Chelsea’s forwards, had trouble making his mark before he was substituted. After a few promising first minutes, he couldn’t reach lonely striker Timo Werner enough.

The Daily Mail states that Ziyech was by no means the man from a lap earlier. “Chelsea’s semi-final scoring hero struggled to make the same impact,” said the newspaper, which also gave him a 5.

The BBC comes to an even lower figure. The broadcaster gives Ziyech a 4, the lowest mark of all Chelsea players. More than a 4 is also not included for Ziyech CBS: ,, The game passed him quite a bit. His pace was too slow and he could complain when he was the first to be changed. ”

Also in The Sun Ziyech does not get further than a 4. “Some decent moves and creative sparks from Ziyech, but he often looked a bit too slow on the ball and not strong enough.”

In the London Evening Standard Ziyech gets a 5 again. ,, Very lively in the first half without finding the final decision. Very quiet after the break, ” says the newspaper.
