Darije Kaležić new head coach ADO Den Haag

ADO Den Haag have appointed Darije Kaležić as the club’s new head coach. Kaležić left Jong FC Utrecht a few weeks ago after two seasons. The Bosnian trainer has signed a two-year contract at The Hague. As the club is busy recruiting more technical staff, we will provide more clarity on this in the short term.

The 53-year-old has played football in Bosnia and Herzegovina for FK Weres and in the Netherlands for FC Den Bosch, RKC Wahlwijk, AGOVV Apeldoorn and De Graafschap.

In 2006, the Swiss-born Kaležić retired from football and was appointed De Graafschap’s U23 coach. Two years later, Kaležić became an assistant to the first team, and a year later he became head coach. In the 2009-2010 season, Kaležić won the first division title with the club from Dutinchem.

After his stint at Achterhoek, the manager worked for various clubs both nationally and internationally, including SV Zulte Waregem, Jong PSV, Roda JC Kerkrade and Wellington Phoenix.

In 2019, Kaležić worked briefly for PSM Makassar in Indonesia, where he won the National Cup. He will join Jong FC Utrecht in the summer of 2021 after a year at MVV Maastricht. At Utrecht, Kaležić was head coach of the U21 team for two full seasons.
