Candidates must have a minimum of three years of experience as a chef, house manager in a working residence, restaurant manager, or similar. She/he should be both a multitasker and a team player, have a positive attitude and be comfortable with a fast-paced environment. Fluency in English and Arabic is a must.

Experience and knowledge of local and foreign cuisines and creativity in creating menus to cater for all dietary requirements, including vegan/vegetarian and fish dishes. A fair understanding of how to pair foreign and local wines with food. Additionally, home/restaurant management experience is a must, including managing staff and waiters. A valid driver’s license is required.

Work in this position includes evening hours and occasional weekend hours.

Main mission

• Food preparation and cooking for both informal and formal dinners.
• Coordinate and conduct events such as breakfasts, lunches, dinners, receptions and conferences at the Ambassador’s Residence in close cooperation with Embassy staff.
• storage and food management;
• Event preparation, preparation, table setting, flower arrangement.
• Recruiting, organizing and managing event wait staff.
• Wine and food pairing.
• Responsible for managing all events and dinners at the residence, including budget management.
• Clean up before and after the event;
• Furniture, silver and glass care.
• We work closely with housekeepers, gardening crews and embassy property managers.

Candidates must be Jordanian citizens and, if non-Jordanian, must have a valid work permit. Full benefits are provided. A background check will be performed.
