There are still 1,442 candidates from Belgium and the Netherlands in the race for membership of K3. They will be told this week that they have been invited to present themselves at the end of April for a pre-selection for a place within K3.
A total of 22,690 registrations were received to replace Klaasje, who is leaving the formation this year. The selection rounds will take place in both the Netherlands and Flanders.
On April 23, 24 and 25, 96 men, 592 women and one non-binary candidate are expected in Belgium. A week later, 72 men, 678 women and three non-binary candidates will appear for a selection test in the Netherlands.
The participants in this selection round will be informed during the month of May whether they will proceed to the next round. Two months ago, Klaasje Meijer announced that, after six successful years, she will be leaving K3 at the end of this year.
