The sale of the well-known Chateau, the setting for the first seasons of their SBS6 reality series Chateau Meiland, has been for sale since last June. The family initially asked 1.25 million euros for it, but lowered the asking price to 998,000 euros.

Martien and Erica Meiland returned to the Netherlands this year. Initially, the two settled in Hengelo, but their enjoyment of living turned out to be short-lived. After problems with the zoning plan, they decided to leave again. The family now lives in Noordwijk. “We are of course very enterprising, maybe we will set up something again,” Martien said earlier.
