A 15-year-old girl from Meppel endangered agents last weekend by concealing that she had corona. The teenager was supposed to be in quarantine at home, but had slipped out of the house to go outside.

The police saw the girl cycling through the Drenthe town in the night from Friday to Saturday around 3.30 am. Because she had her phone in her hand, the police decided to stop the teenager.
Girl remains silent
On Instagram, one of the police officers says that she was also concerned about the child. It was the middle of the night and the girl had said her father did not know she had slipped out of the house. That she also recently tested positive for the corona virus, the teenager kept silent.

Also at the police station the child kept her jaw tight. Even when the police officers asked about the corona measures at her school, she saw no decline. The girl said nothing special, the officer said.
Family in quarantine
It was not until the father arrived at the station that the police heard of the positive test result his daughter had received a few days earlier. To prevent further spread of the virus, the whole family were therefore in home isolation.
“Anger, irritation and worry prevailed,” the officer writes of the incident. The police officer was later tested because he developed minor complaints. Fortunately, the result was negative. Because the officers had only been within a meter and a half of the infected girl, they do not have to go into home quarantine.
