The Peter R. de Vries Foundation is offering a reward to anyone who gives the golden tip about the location of 7-year-old Jaïr Soares, who disappeared in 1995. On August 4 that year, the boy disappeared while visiting Monster beach. It is still unclear what happened to him. That is why the ultimate tip about its location is rewarded with 250,000 euros from the foundation.

27 years ago, Jaïr disappeared just before 5:30 p.m. while playing tag outside a beach club, while the family’s father ordered fries inside. After the police had been informed, a major search was launched on the beach of South Holland and in the dunes. Jair was never heard from or found again.

The foundation of Peter R. de Vries, previously called the Golden Tip Foundation, is offering a quarter of a million euros to anyone who has the golden tip within six months, before February 4, 2023. “This is a matter that affects us very much. It can’t be that a fun day at the beach ends in a 27-year search for your child?” says Kelly de Vries, chairman of the fund. Claudio Soares, Jair’s older brother, says that the loss does not wear off, but the action gives him hope. “We have to give everything. I keep hope. Hope is the last thing in me that dies.”
