In Frank Dane’s morning show op Radio 583 they did the ultimate test this morning. They tested whether the hairdressers could open again by calling Mark Rutte’s hairdresser and asking whether Rutte has scheduled an appointment. “Because why would Mark Rutte have an appointment with the hairdresser if it is not possible?” The hairdresser confirmed that an appointment is scheduled for our prime minister next Saturday.
The DJs called Herenkappers Rimmelzwaan in Leidschendam, the permanent hairdresser of the outgoing Prime Minister. The idea behind the bell: if Rutte has scheduled an appointment, we can assume that the hairdressers are allowed to open, the DJs concluded. “Because why would Mark Rutte have an appointment with the hairdresser if it is not possible?” one of the DJs wonders aloud.
When asked whether Rutte has planned a hairdresser’s visit, owner Marco responds somewhat overwhelmed. He did confirm that Rutte has planned a visit to his hair salon next Saturday. Then the DJs of the morning show concluded that the hairdressers in the Netherlands can open again.
‘Hairdresser’s appointment planned a year ago’
A spokesperson for the Government Information Service has now also responded to Frank Dane’s fragment, and says that Rutte always has his hairdressing appointments scheduled a year in advance. He will only actually sit in the hairdresser’s chair if the hairdressers are allowed to open the doors, the information officer emphasized.
The expectation is that tonight’s press conference will announce easing and that hairdressers will be allowed to open their doors again from 2 March.
The press conference will be broadcast live on Metronieuws tonight from 7 p.m.
