UTRECHT – He had ‘been a bit stupid’, Jip Janssen. But his club Kampong was only really stupid, even oil stupid. The Utrecht association let the 23-year-old international play in the game against Tilbug on September 25, even though Janssen was awaiting a corona test. The penalty corner cannon left the sports complex in haste when it turned out that he was positive at half time. It sparked the biggest hockey riot in decades. The offending game will be replayed tonight, without the suspended Janssen. A reconstruction.
