How Is CBDP Made?

Every day is like Christmas in the cannabis plant kingdom. It is becoming increasingly apparent that the chemical composition and usefulness of the cannabis plant are getting discovered. Scientists learned about the body’s natural enzymatic processes and found that cannabis produces 150 organic chemical components.

THC gets once thought to be the most psychoactive component of cannabis. New cannabinoids tetrahydrocannabiphorol (THC) and cannabidiphorol (CBDP) were introduced in 2019 and are now available for purchase on the market.

Research on CBDP

The UNIHEMP initiative financed research into CBDP, which led to the discovery of CBDP in 2019. Scientists examined an FM2 medical cannabis cultivar using mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography to identify what gets contained within the plant components. Also discovered were THCP, CBDB, and THCB.

There is a shortage of CBDP research at the moment. The human body’s response to this cannabinoid is unknown. I don’t know the answer. Even the researchers who discovered CBDP aren’t sure what it’s supposed to do. CBDP and CBD, on the other hand, may be able to aid in the fight against breast cancer in a new study. The findings are highly intriguing.

In a study of human breast cancer cells, scientists revealed that cannabis triggered catastrophic pathways that resulted in the death of cancer cells. Autophagy and apoptosis have to get shown to significantly increase the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS).

How Is CBDP Made?

UNIHEMP scientists in Italy first extracted CBDP and THCP from a cannabis plant in 2019, before the epidemic started.

They identified these substances using advanced technologies like mass spectrometry and liquid chromatography to study the plant to its very core and identify the hidden gems dwelling inside the plant.

Compared to the more well-known THC and CBD, CBDP and THCP account for less than 1 percent of the cannabis plant, making extraction challenging yet worth it.

What are the advantages of CBDP?

CBDP appears to have similar therapeutic advantages to CBD, based on what we know so far and may be beneficial for people suffering from anxiety, depression, and stress. For epilepsy, chronic pain, and inflammation, CBDP may be helpful.

The molecular structure and chemical formula of CBDP are similar to those of CBD. In light of these similarities, CBDP probably has just a moderate affinity for cannabinoid 1 (CB1) and cannabinoid 2 (CB2) receptors. Still, it operates on other receptor sites to give your body a wide variety of benefits.

5-HT1A serotonin receptors in the brain get activated by the cannabinoid CBD. The brain’s serotonin receptors are affected by this activation, which alters how they react to naturally occurring serotonin levels in the body. CBDP, for example, may be beneficial in treating stress, anxiety, and depression.

The “bliss molecule” is serotonin, an endogenous hormone called “love hormone.” Anxiety and depression are two of their primary targets. Serotonin receptor activation in the CBD has shown considerable anti-stress and anti-depressant effects in research. Researchers also believe CBD may have anti-epileptic effects by activating serotonin receptors in some or all of the brain. Also, CBDP may help alleviate pain and inflammation, as well.
