Impotent United is lost by rival City in Manchester Derby | Foreign football

Manchester United lost the derby against rival Manchester City without a chance. At Old Trafford it was 0-2 with goals in the first half. Donny van de Beek came on as a substitute in the 80th minute during the Manchester Derby. Nathan Ake stayed on the bench at City.

Thanks to the victory, the team of trainer Pep Guardiola now has 23 points after eleven games in the Premier League. United have 17 points and must therefore leave a gap. League-leader Chelsea has 25 points after ten matches.

A clumsy own goal by Eric Bailly gave the visitors the lead after seven minutes. The defender hit the ball quite wildly after a cross from the left wing. Just before half time, Luke Shaw thought a sharp cross was harmless, but Bernardo Silva appeared behind him to make the 0-2.

The game remained the same in the second half: City dominated and United were powerless. Cristiano Ronaldo and substitutes Jadon Sancho, Marcus Rashford and Van de Beek were also unable to turn the tide.

So United and manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer got another blow in the Premier League. It is the second top match in a row that United lose at home. Two weeks ago, Liverpool were far too strong for United (0-5), who then recovered with a 3-0 win in the away game against Tottenham Hotspur.
