The growth of the internet turnover of retailers has not been this low since the start of the measurement in 2014. Internet revenue growth peaked at around 85 percent in the first quarter of 2021, but after a full year of corona, growth slowed in the following quarters.
Internet sales can be split into pure web stores and multichannelers, which sell both online and through stores. In the fourth quarter of 2021, internet turnover for the latter group of retailers was about 2 percent higher than in the fourth quarter of 2020.
