Thomas R. confessed that he had killed 21-year-old student Mieke Oort last March. His lawyer, Robert Snorn, confirmed prior to the first procedural inquiry scheduled for Tuesday. According to Snorn, Leeuwarden residents “widely” acknowledge responsibility for fatal puncture wounds in Leeuwarden’s dormitories, Dagblad vanhet Noorden reports.
Mr. Auto was stabbed in the apartment on the morning of March 6th. Police first responded to the house around 3:30 am after receiving a report of a fire in a small house. After the fire was extinguished, Ms. Ort died internally and two men, 25 and 30 years old, were injured. Within hours, police detained Thomas R., 27, and they said they were responsible.
Mieke Oort came to the Netherlands in 2020 and enrolled in the NHL Stenden University of Applied Sciences. According to her friend, she met Thomas R on The Tinder’s day. The suspect reportedly had a tracking device on his bicycle when he stalked the young woman and resumed dating her ex-boyfriend.
After the attack, R. Fleeed to Germany. Along the way, he called his parents to inform him of the incident. He was arrested in Leah, not far from the Dutch border.
