Meghan not present at Prince Philip’s funeral | Royals

The pregnant Meghan has been advised by her doctor not to fly to England for the funeral. Prince Harry will be present, Buckingham Palace says. The funeral will take place on Saturday April 17 at St George’s Chapel in Windsor Castle.

The Duke and Duchess posted a tribute to Philip on their website on Friday Archewell. “Thank you for your services, you will be greatly missed.”

He has not been to England since Harry stepped down from senior royal last year. “I can therefore well imagine that all parties find it exciting to see each other again. But hopefully their common interest – supporting the Queen and working together for her – will be the deciding factor. I’m sure the duke would have wanted that, ”said British journalist Penny Junor, who has written several books about the royal family.

Queen Elizabeth’s husband died at Windsor Castle on Friday morning. According to the royal palace, he died ‘peacefully’. “It is with great sadness that the Queen announces the death of her beloved husband Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh,” Buckingham Palace said in a statement.
