US software company Microsoft will reopen its headquarters in Redmond, Washington, at the end of this month for the return of its staff, as the number of corona infections in the United States is decreasing. The offices in California will also reopen on February 28.
Microsoft is said to have more than 47,000 employees at its Redmond headquarters. The company indefinitely postponed its return to the office in September due to the soaring corona infections. Microsoft’s US offices were originally planned to be fully reopened on October 4. In total, Microsoft has more than 103,000 employees in the US.
Employees will then have 30 days to adjust to returning to the office and adjusting their work routines, according to Microsoft. They can also work from home half of the week if they wish. In consultation with managers, it is even possible to work from home more, according to Microsoft. Many US companies have become more flexible with work locations in order to better retain staff and also attract new employees.
