The first corona press conference of the new cabinet attracted an average of more than 5.7 million viewers on Friday. That is less than the last extra press conference of December 18. It was on a Saturday night and drew nearly 6.9 million viewers. The last regular press conference a week earlier was good for 5.2 million viewers.
On Friday, with about 3.4 million, most people watched again via NPO 1, reports Stichting KijkOnderzoek. RTL 4 attracted more than 1.8 million viewers and 485,000 people watched via SBS6.
The press conference looked different this time for regular viewers. Minister Ernst Kuipers made his debut and supported his story with graphics. As a result, the sign language interpreters had to give way. These were now no longer between the two speakers but in a separate room.
On primetime, most viewers were for De Slimste Mens. Almost 1.8 million people watched the quiz on NPO 2. Flikken Maastricht (1.7 million on NPO 1) and The Voice of Holland (1.6 million on RTL 4) follow a short distance. SBS6 managed to reach 672,000 people with De Alleskunner.
