The Nederlandse Aardolie Maatschappij (NAM) has started arbitration proceedings against the State regarding the costs of damage repair for residents of the earthquake area in Groningen. According to the company, there are currently deviations from earlier agreements.
“The current choices made by the government are no longer in line with the payment agreements between the government and NAM from 2018. This dispute is now being submitted to an arbitrator,” explains NAM director Johan Atema in a written explanation.
