Samenwerkingsverband Noord-Nederland (SNN), a partnership between the states of Groningen, Friesland and Drenthe to support the development of the northern Netherlands, new Subsidy scheme for sustainability and improvement in Groningen. The plan aims to help homeowners who want to retrofit their buildings to be more sustainable and energy efficient.
The subsidy covers up to €10,000 and homeowners can apply multiple times. Eligible sustainability interventions include installing solar panels, replacing the glass with High Efficiency (HR++) versions, or adding wall insulation. The measure also funds comfort interventions, such as resolving overdue maintenance and installing new kitchens and bathrooms.
This scheme applies to buildings intended for residential purposes. Homeowners who run businesses such as farms can also claim subsidies.The building must be in a designated location to be eligible for the subsidy Zip code area If a value reduction scheme (waardedalingsregeling) is applied, they cannot be part of the National Coordinator Groningen (NCG) Reinforcement Programme.
SNN claims it has sufficient funds and time to process all requests.Continue report Due to unfair practices in previous rounds of subsidies, SNN has decided to extend the application deadline to December 31, 2025.
This is the third and final grant launched by SNN for the improvement and sustainability of Groningen. Applications for the first two rounds (up to €7,000 and €17,000 respectively) are still open and will run until 2026.
