Podcast | ‘It was certainly memorable for Feyenoord’ | Sport

Feyenoord had a hot evening in Prague, PSV won at home against Sturm Graz, Vitesse can hope for a European winter and AZ took a point. A good evening for Dutch football. In the AD Voetbalpodcast, presenter Etienne Verhoeff looks back with Feyenoord follower Mikos Gouka from Prague.

Feyenoord is unbeaten in the Conference League group stage. Yet the first topic is not the competition. “How did the king fly? He did well, but I thought the landing was a bit… But being flown by the king was not on my bucket list”, says Gouka about his outward flight to the Czech Republic. ,,Overwintering with Feyenoord was on that list. I’ve been following this club for a long time, but the first and last winter was in 2014. Although it is a level lower now, it doesn’t avoid the Europa League that much. Certainly not the group of Feyenoord.”

Arne Slot called Feyenoord’s match memorable. Gouka agreed with that, although Til’s red card and keeper Ofir Marciano’s mistakes were a concern. ,,Slot can work with that when looking back at the game tomorrow.”

Coefficient List

And with the points that clubs took again for the coefficient list, the Netherlands is doing good business. ,,Just a little while longer and we will participate with five teams in the Champions League”, Gouka responds with a smile. “This will pay off in the coming years. Vitesse has a very difficult group and still having a chance to continue until the last round is very good.”

And then we look at the weekend in the Eredivisie. ,,The top 3 all have an away game. Ajax to Sparta. I saw Sparta against Feyenoord and PSV. They don’t score many goals, but they play very organized. PSV to Heerenveen. Feyenoord to Twente. It could well be that one of the top teams will spill a point. They have all played European.’;
