The pre-trial detention of the 15-year-old boy suspected of involvement in the tram incident in The Hague in which a man was killed has been extended by two weeks. The examining magistrate decided that on Friday.

The boy is suspected of pushing the victim. After that, the 39-year-old man from Poland fell and ended up under a tram that was approaching.

Two other residents of The Hague who were arrested, a 15-year-old boy and an 18-year-old man, were released on Thursday and are no longer suspected of “causing a fatal incident”. The Public Prosecution Service suspects they have left the scene of the accident without offering help to the victim.
