According to Andrew, the British royal family does feel supported by all the reactions of the people. “We all feel a great loss, but at the same time all the tributes are beautiful,” said the prince, who spoke to the press for the first time since his much-discussed interview about his friendship with abuse billionaire Jeffrey Epstein.
He says of his father: “He was a special man, I loved him.”
Because, according to the prince, Elizabeth feels a void now that Philip is gone, he and his siblings support their mother. “We take care of her so that she gets the support she needs.”
Prince Edward, the youngest child of Philip and Elizabeth, also attended the divine service with his wife Sophie and daughter Louise. He calls his father’s death a terrible shock and “very, very sad.” Edward is also grateful for all the support. “He may have been our father and grandfather, but he meant so much to so many other people.”
