Purpose of the project

The aim of the various project activities is to contribute to the further improvement of Sri Lanka’s poultry sector in terms of competitiveness, efficiency, food quality and safety, animal welfare, sustainability and environmental impact. . Furthermore, with this project, the Royal Dutch Embassy in Colombo, Sri Lanka aims to bring into view opportunities for Dutch cooperation, trade and investment in the poultry sector.

Target audience

Small and Medium Poultry Entrepreneurs

Training subject

  1. Feed management
  2. Health care
  3. Agricultural management and quality/safety control
  4. Advisory and training skills

Training courses are run in Sri Lanka, both online and face-to-face by local and international project experts. All activities combine theoretical and practical training sessions and workshops.

Who can apply

Agricultural extension workers (public and private) are actively involved in the development of Sri Lanka’s poultry sector. We are looking for extension workers with general agricultural production and/or veterinary experience. English reading comprehension is required for registration. Female applicants are strongly encouraged to apply.
