REVIEW – As a novice filmmaker, Flynn von Kleist made in 2017 Because my name is Yfendo, a short documentary about twelve-year-old Yfendo van Praag who liked to play the clarinet and dance. But while running, something strange happened. It was not Yfendo’s creative talents that demanded all the attention, but his problematic home situation with unstable parents, verbal abuse and drug use. Von Kleist now has about this stumbling youth full of obstacles I don’t wanna dance made, a drama with which he makes his debut as a feature film director.
