The average colon virus test continues to decline, but hospitalizations are increasing

A total of 6,473 new coronavirus infections were reported to the National Institute for Public Health RIVM in the 24 hours until Friday morning, increasing to a total of 179 on Thursday.

Nevertheless, the number of positive tests per week has decreased by 17% from 8,083 in the last 7 days.

However, hospitalizations continue to increase. According to LCPS, a national patient monitoring service, there are currently 477 people being treated for coronavirus in hospitals, 107 of whom are in the intensive care unit.

An average of 60 people have been hospitalized daily for the past 7 days.
