The German high-risk list
The German high-risk list includes countries where the number of new infections per 100,000 inhabitants has been above 200 in the past seven days. In the Netherlands, that number is currently 388. Spain would also become a high-risk country.
The Netherlands is currently still a ‘risk area’. Travelers are required to register in advance. They must also show a negative test result, or proof that they have been vaccinated or cured.
This spring, the Netherlands was also considered a high-risk area for weeks. This led to major problems for frontier workers, for example, who had to be tested regularly.
