This class collected 15 containers of electronic waste

Phones with broken screens, laptops that no longer charge and tablets that have become too slow: the mountain of electrical devices that are no longer used is growing every day. And that while those devices can be recycled properly. Today is International E-Waste Day to raise awareness about this.

Every Dutchman threw an average of about 22 kilos to electronic devices.

There is a special collection competition for primary schools. Group 6 of primary school de Krullevaar from Utrecht participated and collected 15 containers full of electronic waste. This makes them the best in the region.

According to the organization of the e-waste day, it is important that electronic waste is collected instead of thrown away. Certain parts can then be reused.

The children of group 6 of the Krullevaar are very happy with their victory. Also because of the price. They will soon be able to go on a school trip to the Nemo museum with their entire class.
