Tokyo 2020 sacks opening ceremony director over anti-Semitic jokes | Olympics

A day before the opening ceremony, the Olympic Games organizing committee dismissed the opening ceremony boss. That reports the Japan Times. Kentaro Kobayashi, a well-known Japanese comedian, actor and theater director, is said to have been fired after making anti-Semitic jokes during a stand-up comedy act. The jokes were already made in 1998, but were only recently picked up by the Simon Wiesenthal Center.
