The Turkish indictment also refers to that capture. 8,000 kilos of cocaine were found in boxes filled with bananas. It was the second largest drug bust ever in Europe. However, Çetin G. managed to escape by destroying his anklet and fled to Turkey. In June 2020, he was arrested by Turkish police, who raided 110 addresses in 11 different provinces.
