Two injured in plane crash near Touge airport

Two people were slightly injured in a plane crash near Tuge airport, Gelderland police said in a statement. Social media showed the plane lying upside down in the grass. One injured person was taken to the hospital. Police are still investigating the cause of the accident.

According to the police, around 3:20 p.m., the emergency services received a report of the aircraft accident, and many rescue workers were dispatched to the scene of the accident.

In the air crash, an old Fokker S.11 plane, used in the past to train pilots for the Dutch Navy and Royal Dutch Air Force, landed upside down in a meadow and the two climbed out of the plane. Omrop Gelderland reported that he suffered visible injuries.
