Veluwe top magician Ronald Moray (57) passed away: ‘Still gone quickly’ | show

After a long illness, Ronald Moray passed away on Saturday evening at the age of 57. The multiple champion of magic enchanted the world with his magic, but a serious illness devastated him.

Everything was said, everything done. Top magician Ronald Moray was ready to go, de Nijkerker told in the Stentor. The magician who delighted Willem-Alexander and Máxima at their wedding party knew that his magic tricks would definitely come to an end.

,,It went fast in the end, but for Ronald it’s better this way”, says Ilse Klijn, one of Moray’s best friends. Together they founded, among others, Dutch Magic. A leading agency for the best magicians and illusionists in the Netherlands.

Less than ten hours after the 57-year-old magician from Nijkerk proposes to his friend Gerrit van de Beek on Curaçao, disaster struck almost six years ago. Moray collapsed in his legs and could not get up, he told earlier this month in the Stentor. He had to lie on the plane back to the Netherlands. A few days later, the diagnosis is made: the – incurable – Kahler’s disease, a form of cancer in the leg bone.

Thanks to medication, he kept it up reasonably well, but when the corona virus hit Moray this spring, it went downhill very quickly.
