The United States golfers have won the 43rd edition of the Ryder Cup. The Americans outclassed title holder Europe in Kohler (Wisconsin) and already had the necessary 14.5 points after five of the twelve singles on Sunday.
In 2012, Europe came back from a 6-10 deficit on the final day. That victory was called The Miracle of Medinah. This time, Europe even trailed 5-11 after day two. The US wanted to avoid The Miracle of Whistling Straits, the course where it was played, at all costs.
The US had to score 3.5 points on Sunday and although Europe won the first game, it never became exciting again. Collin Morikawa had the honor of making the winning run.
