Woods will come back, but the question is how strong: ‘I still have so far to go’

Tiger Woods doesn’t see himself returning to the global top of golf, but expects to return to action on the PGA Tour. Woods first spoke out to Golf Digest about his future after being seriously injured in a car accident in February.

“I will never compete full-time on the track again, but it is certainly realistic that I will play on the Tour again. That will be a matter of careful choice,” said Woods. “I’m not even halfway through the rehabilitation process yet.”

The 45-year-old American crushed his right leg and ankle when he overturned his car at high speed. Last week he shared images on social media that he hit some balls again.

Still a long way

“I still have so far to go,” Woods continues. “I have so much more muscle development and nerve development that I have to go through in my leg. At the same time, as you know, I’ve had five back surgeries. So I’m dealing with that too. So when the leg gets stronger, sometimes the back can play up. “
