AC Milan has conquered the lead in Serie A. De Rossoneri struggled past nine men from Bologna (2-4) and now have one point more than the still clear Napoli, which will meet Roma on Sunday.
With 40-year-old Zlatan Ibrahimovic in the starting line-up for the first time this season, everything fell to Milan’s side before halftime. Rafael Leao scored with a lucky shot, after which Adama Soumaoro (Bologna) was shown red for holding and Davide Calabria made it 0-2 for the visitors.
After the break, the chances seemed to have turned. First Ibrahimovic headed into his own goal and the ten men from Bologna even equalized via Musa Barrow.
However, the game turned again when Bologna had to continue with one man less. Roberto Soriano was shown red after almost an hour of play. Bologna, where Jerdy Schouten and Mitchell Dijks came in, nevertheless held out for a while.
It was only in the 84th minute that Ismaël Bennacer gave Milan the lead again, before Ibrahimovic scored in the right goal in the final minute.
