9 injured in brawl on Blumendaal beach

At least nine people were injured in a brawl on Blumendaal beach around 00:30 on Friday night, police said in a statement. A police spokesman said three people were injured in the scuffle with sharp objects. The injured had to be treated by paramedics at the scene or taken to hospital.

A police spokesman said it was “difficult to say” how many people were involved in the brawl. Police are investigating the incident, and more details are expected soon.
