Thomas Verheid, top scorer for ADO Den Haag for the past two seasons, has left the club to join Corum FK, a Turkish club playing at second international level.
In the summer of 2021, Thomas Verheit will return to his former club ADO Den Haag. From 2004 to 2012, the born Hudginess played in the ADO Youth Academy, but at that time he was not looking to break into the first team. Verheit returned to ADO Den Haag after playing amateurs Jordan Boys and Iselmeervogels, professional football clubs MVV Maastricht, Crawley Town, Go Ahead Eagles and Almere City FC.
In his first season with the first team, the professional goalscorer broke several club records. Verheit, for example, became the player with the most goals in a single season for ADO Den Haag (37) and the only player in the club’s history to score in eight consecutive games. A strong centre-forward goal helped ADO advance to the promotion play-off final.
In his second season at ADO Den Haag, and as we now know, Verheid scored 15 goals last season. Ultimately, after 78 official matches in yellow-green, the counter stopped at his staggering 52 goals and 15 assists.
31-year-old Thomas Verheit said: “It was a dream to go back to my childhood sweethearts and play in the familiar yellow and green clothes. I wanted to help the club return to the Eredivisie and We were very close but it didn’t.I received it.I am and always will be very grateful for that.Of course I will continue to watch the performance of ADO Den Haag in Turkey. , I want to experience the match at the stadium as soon as possible, but after that, as a supporter!”
