Dutch police help take down dozens of DDoS-contracting websites

Dutch police helped take down about 50 of the world’s largest DDoS-contracted websites in an international operation called ‘Power OFF’. The Netherlands, in cooperation with the US, UK, German and Polish authorities and Europol, police Said.

DDoS sites offered cyberattacks at low prices. In addition to shutting down the site, police have arrested seven suspects in him (six in the US and one in the UK).

DDoS stands for Distributed Denial of Service. This cyberattack floods the website or app servicer with data and causes it to crash.

“Administrators and users of DDoS services may face more attacks in the near future,” Dutch police warned.
