Dutch racing driver Dilano van’t Hof has died in a serious accident at the Spa-Francorchamps circuit. The 18-year-old driver was competing in the Alpine Formula Regional European Championship with Team MP Motorsport.
Van’t Hof was involved in a crash on the Kemmel Straight during the second race. Unfortunately the help on the course didn’t help. Four years ago, Frenchman Antoine Hubert died in the same section of the course.
Van’t Hof started in karting. Two years ago he won the Spanish F4 Championship in his debut season. He finished 16th overall in the current class he was racing in.
His team reacted to his death with great sadness. “We have lost one of the greatest Dutch talents and are shocked that he has driven for us over the years and has given the team so much energy. “Danilo’s family and loved ones, we have lost not only a driver but a friend to them and team members. support.”

F1 boss Stefano Domenicali also extended his condolences. “We are very saddened to learn of the passing of Dylan van’t Hof today at Spa-Francorchamps. belongs to his family and loved ones.”

The organizers of the European Regional Championship, the circuit and the Belgian Motorsport Federation also issued a statement expressing their support for Van’thoff’s family, team and friends.
