Flight to Amsterdam diverts business class passengers after being denied meal options
On Monday, a United Airlines flight from Houston to Amsterdam had to make an unscheduled landing in Chicago after a passenger misbehaved. According to aviation official JonNYC, twitter, business class passengers were furious because they could not choose their meals. Officials said the passengers were also drunk.
John New York City posted a United Airlines internal communication, revealing that the flight had “disruptive” passengers on board and reported a threat level of 1, the lowest threat level. “But the way I think about it, this person had to be very disruptive to do something like this,” the source said.
Flightradar24 reported that the flight was diverted to Chicago and had to circle O’Hare to burn enough light fuel to land. The plane arrived in Chicago airspace about two hours after the start of the flight, which normally takes about nine and a half hours.
