Police arrested nine people on Monday during a mass police operation around Eindhoven as part of a drug investigationPolice said drugs, firearms, ammunition, luxury items, a car and large amounts of cash were found at various locations.
Police said more than 1,000 police officers, investigators and defense experts attended. Searches were conducted in three caravan camps: Eindhoven, Overeld and Best.
The investigation was temporarily suspended Monday evening after sunset. “Due to the emergence of darkness, the search by a professional search team has been suspended today and will resume tomorrow in the light of day,” police said on Twitter.
Details of the surgical results will be announced at a later date.
Police, along with the Financial Crimes Investigation Service, FIOD, and the Dutch Tax Office, are investigating the large-scale production and trade of synthetic drugs, as well as the laundering of criminal assets.
