Oosterparkwijk kiosk ready for new tenants – The Northern Times
Zaagmuldersweg kiosks are Under lease, the City of Groningen is pleased to work with potential tenants on their vision of the space. The building is right next door to two brand new buildings, one of which houses the Michi-no-Eki, a Groningen version of the roadside rest stop of the famous Japanese ‘Michi-no-Eki Miki’.
It’s now a blank canvas, says Alderman Karine Blumhoff. “We are open to anything, but final decisions are made in consultation with the community,” she stresses.
Tobacco store Knollema was initially interested in the site, but despite the excellent location of the kiosk, the deal fell through. The space is now ready for (re)renting and the council has launched a sort of bidding for the best tenants and rent payers.
The municipality says it is open to discussing what future tenants will be, but stresses that there must be an element of hospitality in business.
It has an area of 49.3 m2 and an annual rent of €12,242 (excluding VAT), with long-term leases available.
