Police raid dozens of locations in encrypted chat probe: media

Police raided dozens of locations in Brabant and the eastern part of the country on Friday morning following an investigation into a new encrypted phone service, Parool and AD reported Friday afternoon.

The search was conducted at a recycling company, a motorcycle dealer and a trailer park, the newspaper said. Police have yet to comment on the raids or a possible connection between them, but are holding a press conference on Monday.

According to the paper, the investigation revolves around Exclu Messenger, which criminals use to safely form communities with each other.

It is unknown at this time how many people have been arrested.
