From around 09.30 on Friday 13th January Neherkade will be closed between Calandstraat/Slachthuislaan and Rijswijkseweg. Closures are required to repair leaks in critical water mains. The construction period is scheduled to be 1.5 to 2 weeks.
Below the Neherkade is a large water main that distributes drinking water. There is an unexplained leak near Laakdvarsweg No. 1 that needs to be repaired urgently. His Neherkade between Calandstraat/Slachthuislaan and Rijswijkseweg must be closed to make this work.
Neherkade closes around 9:30am. Diversion signs will be installed as soon as possible. A dynamic route panel is turned on at the same time.
We apologize for the inconvenience caused by the closure. Road users should take detours and expect extra travel time and congestion. Signposts and dynamic route panels indicate detours. A traffic controller will also be deployed.
drinking water supply
The drinking water supply is uninterrupted and safe to use. However, drinking water in the Spoorwijk and Laak Central districts may come out of taps with less pressure.
